High-quality presentations are essential for the success of ICSE. To help you plan your presentation for ICSE 2014, please find in this document important information about the audiovisual equipment available in the meeting rooms, along with guidelines to help you prepare and deliver your presentation.
THE SETTING
The ICSE2014 rooms vary in capacity from 25 to 1000 people. They will be equipped with the following presentation equipment:
For tutorials, workshops and symposia before and after the technical program, the tutorial, workshop and symposia attendees are expected to bring their own laptop computers for projection purposes for all presentations in their workshop, tutorial or symposium. ICSE will provide one data projector per meeting room, which can be connected to these laptops.
For all presentations in the conference main tracks on Wed, Thu, and Fri of ICSE 2014, you will need to provide your own laptop. In addition, we highly recommend that you bring a copy of your presentation on a memory stick. Please make sure in advance that your presentation runs with a 1024 x 768 resolution, which is the standard resolution for the projectors at the conference. There will be VGA adapters for hooking up your laptop. If you need any other adapter (e.g. to hook up your Mac or iPad) please make sure to bring the adapter with you to the conference.
We strongly suggest that you test if your presentation works properly on the provided equipment in advance to your presentation (e.g. the evening before your presentation or early during lunch/tea breaks).
Please make sure to meet with your session chair 15 minutes before your session starts.
NOTE: There will be no time extensions for your talk if you encounter technical difficulties.
MEETING YOUR SESSION CHAIR
Each session has a session chair coordinating the session and introducing you to the audience. Check the ICSE 2014 final program (when available) for the name of your session chair.
Make sure you:
For the Wed, Thu, and Fri sessions, you must be present throughout the session in which your presentation occurs.
